North Royalton Safety Town

MESSAGE FROM FIRE CHIEF BOB CHEGAN:
The North Royalton Safety Town Project has been in the planning phase for several years, even before Covid. It is time to move forward. We now have the design in place to construct it at the old Royalview School location. We will include some preliminary drawings. With the help of past fundraising efforts (especially from the NR Browns Backers, and Niko’s, who raised over $13,000 in the past few years), we established a good start to the project. Our current fundraiser was again through the NR Browns Backers and Niko’s, who raffled off a Bourbon Barrel this past Superbowl Sunday.

Fundraisers and donations are an integral part of completing this project. This can include monetary- or service-related donations.
We are looking for assistance in the following ways:
• Monetary Donations
• Building sponsors - The structures on the site will have local
businesses logo or picture of their business on the sides.
• Concrete, Electrical and Landscaping supply or service
• Fencing supply or service

Please contact me at rchegan@northroyalton.org or 440-759-8421 if you would like to help.

Here is some more information as we move forward:
• We would like to complete this project by June ’24. Obviously,
this is all based on project costs, donations and sponsors.
• Phase 1 – Foundation including concrete, landscaping and
electrical
• Phase 2 – Buildings
• This is a partnership between the City and the
North Royalton City Schools, with the support from Mayor
Larry Antoskiewicz and Superintendent Laub.
• City Council adopted legislation to accept donations for the
Safety Town Project and a line item account has been set up by
the North Royalton Finance Department. This is where all
donation funds will be distributed through.
• All donations for this project should be made out to: North
Royalton Safety Town
• The total estimated cost is between $50-$75k based on
material costs/costs

We appreciate the continued community support!
