The primary duty of this commission is to enforce City laws and ordinances that govern commercial, industrial and residential development. The Commission is also responsible for controlling the dividing and subdividing of land and recommending acceptance or rejection of proposed development plans. Recommendations from the Planning Commission are sent to the City Council for their consideration and action.The Planning Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council. The Mayor serves on Planning, and City Council appoints one of its members as a representative. Members include Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz, Gene Baxendale, Marie DeCapite, John Ranucci and Council Representative Paul Marnecheck. *Meetings are generally hosted the first Wednesday of the month in North Royalton City Hall Council Chambers, 14600 State Road. Open Caucus is conducted at 6:45 p.m., and the open meeting at 7 p.m. Check ahead before attending as meetings are subject to change. In the event that an agenda item is not reached by 11 p.m. on the scheduled meeting date, it will be heard in order at the next scheduled meeting.
