Recycling Drop-Off Station

Drop-off is available for North Royalton residents only, please bring your driver’s license as proof of residency. No trailers, commercial vehicles, or businesses will be accepted. Residents are responsible for the handling of the items they bring.

Effective June 1, 2024 no trash, yard waste or construction debris will be accepted at the Recycle Yard. These items can be discarded, curbside, on your regular trash day. For detailed rules, please see the 2024 Recycling and Trash Service Guidelines.

Items Accepted:
In-Home Recycling, Campaign Signs, Computers and Electronics, Holiday Lights, Household Hazardous Waste, and Scrap Metal.

NOT ACCEPTED:
Trash, Yard Waste, Construction Debris, Latex Paint, Fluorescent Bulbs, Automotive Fluids, Motor Oil, Batteries, Tires, Explosives, Gun Powder, Ammunition, Flares, Medical Waste, Pharmaceuticals, Sharps, and Radioactive Waste.

Campaign Signs: Plastic film, corrugated plastic, and cardboard signs – plus the metal stands. During months of May and November ONLY.

Computers and Electronics: Desktops, towers, laptops, monitors, keyboards and peripherals, printers, modems, tablets, e-readers, telecom devices, networking equipment, cables, cell phones, ear buds, and video game systems.

Televisions can be recycled for a fee or special collection events at the Solid Waste District.

Other electronics can be recycled through local e-waste companies and at retail locations. Best Buy and Staples allow customers to drop-off items in store for free. Small personal electronics (phones, tablets, GPS) can be dropped off for recycling at the Solid Waste District.

Holiday Lights: Light strands power strips, and power cords. Bring items loose, not bagged. During months of November and December ONLY.

Household Hazardous Waste: Household Hazardous Waste Collection is for materials from a household not businesses. Hazardous waste not typically found or used in a household are not accepted. Drop-off limit of 6 gallons of oil or solvent based paints per resident.

Accepted: Paint (oil or solvent based) limit of 6 gallons per resident, sealers, primers, coatings (aerosols or liquids), solvents, paint thinner, varnishes, polyurethanes, cooking oils and grease, aerosols, adhesives, roof tar, driveway sealer, kerosene, gasoline, lighter fluid, lawn and garden products, pesticides, pool chemicals, household cleaners, and mercury.
