What is
Swift911?
Swift911 is a computerized telephone calling system
that can be used to notify you of an emergency situation such as a
severe storm evacuation or a dangerous situation.
How does Swift911 work?
Each resident and business within the City of North
Royalton (or a targeted area) will receive a telephone message with
the emergency alert.
Who activates the system?
The North Royalton Fire and/or Police Departments can
activate or send an alert. Other city departments may be authorized
to send out informational alerts in the future.
I have an unlisted or cell phone number. Will I be
listed in the data base?
To be sure you are listed, sign up for Swift911 alerts by providing
your information by logging onto
www.northroyalton.org and clicking the Swift911 link.
How can I be sure that I am listed in the database?
The
City’s list of phone numbers comes from published phone directories.
Generally unlisted numbers and cell phone numbers are not listed in
the database. You may register on line with your request to be
listed.
I’d rather not be listed - how can I take my name off
of the system?
Simply provide your information by logging onto
www.northroyalton.org.
Click on the Swift911 link, complete the request form and select
the "Remove" button.
I am
deaf or hearing impaired. How do I get notified?
Emergency messages are able to reach TTY (teletypewriter) phones
used by those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
What
if I have more questions?
You can email your
questions to the
North Royalton Fire Department.
Please put Swift911 in the ‘Subject’ field.
