Director Judith Willey

The City of North Royalton makes available services for its elderly and handicapped citizens. The North Royalton Senior Van provides transportation for senior citizens and disabled residents. Those who cannot drive can schedule a ride for shopping or medical appointments within the community and surrounding area.

The Office on Aging is open Monday through Friday (8:30 am - 4:00 pm) for socialization, education, crafts, card playing, health care screening, free blood pressure screenings, senior exercises and other activities.   All dates of screenings and special activities are announced in the ROYALTON RECORDER column SENIOR SCENE.  The Office on Aging and Senior Center is located in the Deaconess Center Perry Senior Apartments, 13500 Ridge Road.  They are accessible by using the center door on the south side of the building.

The Office on Aging provides free assistance with Medicare, medical paperwork, social services, information on Medicaid, nursing homes, Nursing Home Ombudsman, food bank, Salvation Army Service Unit and other programs.  They also provide assistance with all government programs, including Golden Buckeye, HEAP, disability programs, Homestead programs, subsidized housing, community development, etc.  The Office also assists younger, disabled, or disadvantaged residents.  It coordinates the North Royalton/Kiwanis Emergency Food Bank.

If you donít know where to look for help, call the Office on Aging at 440-582-6333.  They offer information and referral for senior citizens, handicapped and all other residents.
